English is the dominant language in technology and business (some would argue that these  are almost one and the same). There are hundreds of millions of people that are learning or have worked to some proficiency level with english. In China alone there are over 300 million people that are english learners – almost as many learners as there are in the US! In fact, between China and India there are over half a billion people speaking english that are non-native…amazing.

While easy for most people reading this post, for those that are learning to speak english, it is a language that can pose challenges to non-native speakers. With so many words that sound the same and yet have completely different definitions (I’m looking at you “way” and “weigh”) the context of the words being learned are critical.
